Your Devotional message for 11th July 2021
Scripture:
To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27, NKJV).
Explanation:
In our day 11 of 31 days of the Daily Meditation on the theme basking in the Glory of God, we will look at the Mystery that Paul wrote to the Colossians – Christ in you, the hope of glory. Christ means the Anointed one. Christ may also mean the head and the body. Paul wrote: “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).
When you are born again, you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior and you received Christ. Therefore, you become a new creation by a new birth and a new life. The Holy Ghost abode inside of you and you have a new identity.
That is why Paul wrote: As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him (Colossians 2:6). Let us examine a few elements of the riches of the glory.
Access to the Glory:
If Christ is in you, you have access to the Glory that was conferred in Christ. And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was (John 17:5). This is a reality. God decided to deposit the fullness of knowledge and wisdom.
Fullness of Christ:
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).
To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19). You can access the fullness of Christ by faith.
Eternal Life: By faith, you must lay hold of eternal life.
And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life (1 John 2:25).
You have same Power of resurrection resides in you:
Christ in you gives Life to your mortal bodies.
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you (Romans 8:11).
What is the conclusion? Just as described above, the reality of Christ in you is indescribable. He will make you to live above the challenges of this World. Glory be to God.
Say I am a carrier of the glory of God. Study and meditate on the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit often. Expect and ask God to manifest His Glory and the Angelic ministration.
Thanks be to God for His glory.
Stay tune as we shall continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed.
In the Month of July 2021, do not miss any day as we will be exploring ‘Basking in the glory of God’
Faith Confession for Power:
Thank you, Lord for the Spirit of the Lord is at work in me. Let the sight of the glory of the Lord be as a consuming fire around my life that make my adversaries to flee.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching will not be with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority and power to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. Therefore, I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I operate in the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth like Fire and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the power and the glory of God.
I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Prosperity and success are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
